When it began on Tuesday 23rd February 1982 Moray Firth Radio was the smallest commercial radio station in the UK. Broadcasting from Inverness in the Scottish Highlands the station quickly established itself as one of the most popular stations in the UK with a large and loyal audience. The station also won many awards and, in its early days, was a true success story in British Commercial Radio.

At MFR I was Head Of Programmes and presenter of many programmes ranging from the Saturday breakfast show to a late night Saturday Phone In. For several years I also presented the weekday morning programme "Morning Call"
