Radio Tees began broadcasting from studios at 74 Dovecot Street, Stockton on Tees on Tuesday 24th June 1975 and gave me my first 'real" job in UK radio.

Before joining the station I had worked for 6 months in a TOILET PAPER factory in Maidstone... as a DJ on a radio station broadcasting to the workers!

Radio Tees was the 14th commercial station to come on air in the UK and I stayed with the station for 6 and a half years.

NEW! Amazingly Ive had a few emails about the Radio Tees pages. Its good to know people remember! I will try and add more soon and MANY THANKS to Nora Barber for sending some great photos!

NEW..... See the new RADIO TEES site!!

Anyone know where JOYCE WOOD is??? Let me know!
